HS 1st Year Online Admissions 2026

Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), formerly known as Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC), has launched an online platform named “Darpan” for facilitating admission into Higher Secondary courses. This platform allows students who have successfully passed the HSLC exam in 2026 to apply online for first-year courses for the academic session 2026-2027. The admission process for HS 1st year is scheduled to commence three days following the announcement of HSLC Examination results, specifically starting from April 12, 2026.

A student is allowed to submit a maximum of five (5) applications.

Assam HS Admission for the 2026 academic year will be conducted through "Darpan," a centralized online portal for Higher Secondary admissions. College, HS school, and senior secondary school principals wishing to utilize this system must register online. All registered institutions on the Darpan portal are instructed to log in and update their profiles to facilitate the admission process for students entering the HS 1st Year Class for the 2026-2027 session. Additionally, institutions recently granted Academic Permission from ASSEB, DIV-II but not yet registered on the Darpan portal must complete their registration using a token number, which will be sent to the principal via SMS. This step is essential for creating their institution profile and managing admissions for the session 2026-2027.

How to Apply for Assam HS 1st Year Admission ?

Students seeking admission to Higher Secondary 1st year courses at various institutions, including Universities, Degree Colleges, Senior Secondary Schools, and Higher Secondary Schools under the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), Division - II, must complete their applications online. They should follow the specified steps outlined for online application submission.

Step 1: Scroll down, check Important Web Link‘s section.

Step 2: Click on HS 1st Year Online Admission link.

Step 3: A portal will load, click on Register a new Account link.

Step 4: Next you need to enter your personal and educational details as required by the portal.

Step 5: Upload scan copy of passport sized photograph and 10th mark sheet.

Step 6: Next choose a 4 digit Login PIN and click on register button .

 

Step 7: Next again click on HS 1st Year Online Admission link and log in again.

 

Step 8: Select your desired course and colleges/ schools . You may choose maximum five institutions in order of their preference for admission.

 

Step 9: At the end, click on submit button and take a print of submitted form for future reference .

Step 10: Please do check the portal regularly for updates. You will be notified through the portal which institution(s) you have been selected for admission.
