Admission Portal
With effect from the academic year 2023–2024, the government of Assam launched a common online admission portal called SAMARTH in an effort to expedite the admissions process for the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) and Five-Year Integrated Masters Programme (FYIMP) in all Higher Education Institutes of Assam. The SAMARTH Admission Portal makes it easier for students to apply to FYUGP and FYIMP courses at all Assamese government, private, provincialized, PDUAM, government model colleges, and state universities.
In order to provide universities and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) with a digital framework for the planning, management, delivery, and monitoring of services for students, staff, and other stakeholders, the Ministry of Education launched the "Samarth" initiative in 2019 under the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology NMEICT-II (now NMEICT-III). The project gives the HEIs access to a fully managed, cloud-based, all-inclusive ERP that was specially designed for the nation's HEIs.

The Assam State Higher Education Admission Portal is an integrated admission portal that students wishing to enroll in all government-aided colleges and universities in Assam can now utilize to gain admission to the course and institution of their choice. Students would no longer need to go around in order to turn in their admission forms.

Assam Government Fee
The Assamese government has implemented a unique program that waives tuition fees for admission in order to give the state's impoverished students access to higher education and enable them to reap its benefits. Students applying for admission to first-year H.S., B.A., B.Sc., and B.Com. and M.A., M.Sc., and M.Com. courses will be eligible for the program.
The SAMARTH portal will be connected to the Assamese government's fee waiver program. Therefore, fee waivers are only available to those worthy students who apply via the SAMARTH platform.
How to Apply for Assam College Admission
Thus, the Assamese government has eliminated the previous UG admission procedure as of the 2023–2024 academic year. For bachelor's degree programs, all students who passed the Higher Secondary final exam must now apply online using the Samarth Portal.

Step 2: Click Online Application Form Link.
Step 3: First Register yourself putting your basic details. Name and other details entered by the applicant need to be the same as in the Class X Board Marksheet.
Step 4: Next, enter all personal and educational information as required.
Step 5: Upload your educational and other documents as required.
Step 6: At the end, submit the form. An acknowledgement receipt will be generated.
Step 7: Also, take a print of the submitted form and acknowledgement copy .
