Eligibility Criteria

Age Requirement: As on April 1, 2026, candidates must be between the ages of 20 and 28.

Age Relaxation: The age relaxation for each category is listed below.

SC/ST: 5 years
OBC NCL: 3 years
PwBD (UR/EWS): 10 years
PwBD (OBC): 13 years
PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years

Educational Requirement: The candidate must hold a degree in any field from an institution, college, or university that has been authorized by the government, AICTE, or UGC. The candidate must present the Mark Sheets and Provisional/Degree Certificate issued by the University, College, or Institute as required by the Bank, and the qualification results must have been announced on or before April 1, 2026. The date of graduation should not be more than four years in advance of the deadline, which is April 1, 2026 (i.e., the date of the graduation marksheet should not be earlier than April 1, 2022).

Selection Process

The two steps of the Union Bank of India apprentice selection process are the Online Test (objective type) and the Local Language Proficiency Test.

Online Test

Five tests—General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative & Reasoning Aptitude, Computer or Subject Knowledge, and Union Bank of India's Products and Services—will make up the online exam. There is no negative marking for the entire 60-minute period.

Test of Local Language

Candidates seeking open positions in a given state must be fluent in any of the state's designated local languages in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension. In order to demonstrate that they have studied the chosen local language, selected candidates must present their 10th or 12th grade standard mark sheet or certificate. It will subsequently be necessary to take a local language test in order to get a certificate attesting to having studied the chosen local language.
